    okkaaa - Artist / Writer / Photographer Born in 1999 24-year-old okkaaa is a next-generation DIY artist whose talents span music writing and photography. Known for his whispery emotionally resonant voice and introspective lyrics his music blends elements of hip-hop R&B gospel and more. Not only does he compose and produce his own tracks but he also self-produces all visual elements including music videos cover artwork and his official website with a strong and cohesive aesthetic. In February 2019 his song City City ranked on Spotifys Viral Chart and in July of the same year he was featured on the cover of Spotifys Early Noise a rising artist discovery program. He also won the top prize at Enter Tech Labs CHACCA CHALLEGE. His single Sekiranun (Cumulonimbus) was selected as one of the years best tracks by numerous curators and received support from some of Japans hottest producers including Grammy-nominated starRo. In 2020 he released the single CODE and the 5-track EP ID20 under Virgin Music Label and Artist Services expanding his musical range and reaching new listeners. He followed this with two more singles Kirameki in September and Meisekimu (Lucid Dream) in November. With a fluid and borderless artistic vision okkaaa continues to cross genres and disciplines while maintaining a fiercely independent approach making him one of the most promising multi-creators of the current scene.
