Life Crown is set to release their new single "23" on January 24, 2024. The inspiration for this song comes from all members turning 23. The theme revolves around the sentiment of "I don't want to part ways."
At the age of 23, some people are diving into a new world as new working adults, while for others, it might be a time of feeling stagnant. It's an age when young people start living separate lives, marking a time of departure.
The song expresses the loneliness and resistance felt during this special time with an ethereal electro sound and pulsating beats. The lyrics, which blend personal and intimate expressions with broad and universal themes, contribute to the distinctive and three-dimensional quality of the music.
The engineer Koji Tsukada participated in the making of this work, and the recording took place at the music studio "MontLabo," established by him in the Yatsugatake Mountains in 2023. The jacket illustration is drawn by the illustrator Izumi.
Three days after the digital release, on January 27, a release event is scheduled to take place at Flowers Loft in Shimokitazawa.

life crown is a four-piece rock band formed in 2020 by friends from junior high school. The band's musicality, which revolves around rough guitar sounds and riffs with an awareness of grunge and shoegaze, is strongly influenced by the US alternative music of the 1990s. The introverted lyrical world told with nerdy melodies and calm vocals contains the danger and fragility that all young people face.
