2014年7月16日約2年半ぶりとなる3rd.シングル『Crash and Burn』をリリースし、再始動の狼煙を上げた。そして8月20日、「Synchronized」以降3年半ぶりとなるアルバム「Nostalgic Evolution」リリースする。今作はフルアルバムという事もあり、楽曲の幅がかなり広く、より緻密に作り込まれたアンサンブルと共存するポップネス。一度その音を聴くとアルバムタイトルの持つニュアンスが良く分かる。
これぞwinnieというノスタルジックな感覚がありながら、より洗練され、深みの増したサウンドになっており、間違いなくwinnieの新たな指針となる作品に仕上がっている。

winnie was formed in 2002. A four-piece band that plays a unique alternative rock sound with a fast-paced rock sound, clear and beautiful twin male and female vocal melody lines, and sometimes mixed chorus work of three or more voices. They are strongly influenced by American emo rock, but also sublimate various genres such as grunge, Swedish pop, and old-fashioned HR/HM.
