    Daemon

Released in February 2026. The second Japanese-language single by Daemon feat. TOMAE.
"Onimame" is a mythic, allegorical song inspired by Setsubun, a traditional Japanese ritual in which people throw roasted soybeans to drive away demons and misfortune at the turning of the seasons.
Using this custom as its motif, the song quietly reflects on the human tendency to reject and exclude what is perceived as "different" within ourselves and others.
With a minimal arrangement centered on a Japanese bamboo flute and TOMAE's spoken, whisper-like vocals, the music evokes a sense of timeless ritual and lingering silence.
Even after the demon disappears, the beans continue to be thrown -
without judgment or redemption, the song leaves only the repetition of actions and the passage of time, portraying human folly in a cold, restrained tone.
