The second release by Japanese mixed-gender gospel chorus group The BLISS, titled Psalm 66:12, is, as the name suggests, inspired by a passage from the Old Testament. The song was composed and arranged by Hisatsugu Noto, known for his work on Smap's "Fly," Crystal Kay's "Tears," and tracks for Dance for Philosophy. The track also features guest bassist Kenta Horiki, a prominent figure in Japan's gospel scene. Blending elements of 90s New Jack Swing and 70s Salsoul with classic dance music, the song delivers a hymn of perseverance for overcoming hardships in today's world.
A group formed with the desire to deliver -The BLISS = Supreme Joy- anywhere through gospel singing. The members have long histories in music and gospel, and their harmonies are filled with passion. By uniting and shining through their individual talents, they hope to share this joy with as many hearts as possible.
