新宿駅を出発した列車は
あふれるほどの乗客をのせて
中央線を走り続けた
見知らぬ土地へと疎開する人も
懐かしい故郷へ帰る人たちも
生きてゆくための道は同じだった
それぞれ降り立つホームは違っても
熱く灼けた線路を
希望をのせ列車は行く
重い車体揺らして
きつい坂のり越えて
彼らは知らない
やがて来る悲劇を
ひとときゆりかごに揺られ
淡い夢を見てた
真夏の日射しが照りつける午後
山のトンネルに差しかかったとき
急降下して迫る戦闘機
銃撃を浴びせ列車は止まった
窓ガラスは撃ち割られ
飛び散る血しぶきのなか
床に倒れる人たちで
通路は埋め尽くされた
血の海を這いずるように
恐怖で逃げ惑う人
列車から逃げ出す人も銃弾に倒れた
生きてくことさえ叶わなかった
人たちの無念を忘れてはいけない
人と人とが争い殺し合う
過ちは二度と犯してはいけない
僕らは今日も誰かの
屍の上で生きてる
与えられたこの命を
無駄にしてはいけない

Inohana tunnel train shooting incident
SINJI
The Inohana Tunnel Train Shooting Incident occurred on August 5, 1945, when a train running on the Chuo Main Line was shot at the entrance of the Inohana Tunnel in Hachioji City by fighter jets, resulting in numerous casualties. .
This incident is buried in the great damage of the Pacific War and is about to be forgotten.
Some of the victims still do not have names or identities.
The number of people who talk about the experiences and memories of those days has decreased.
In the hope that this tragedy could be handed down to the next generation as much as possible, I took inspiration from Tsutomu Saito's book "Chuo Main Line 419 Train" and wrote this song.
