SAMOEDO-a band formed by Shinichi Sugawara (ex. Siamese Cats), nakayaan (mitsume), Kento Suzuki (never young beach), and Naruki Numazawa-presents a new track that captures a subtle, shared sensation among people with different backgrounds crossing paths in Tokyo. Whether longtime residents or those newly arrived in Japan, individuals with distinct perspectives momentarily find themselves within the same scene. Even if what each person sees differs slightly, they share the same time and air-this track focuses on that fleeting sense of coexistence.

The production began with slowed-down sampling of samba jazz, layered with Bacharach-inspired melodies and the sonic textures of late-1970s soul. The result is a sound that balances dryness and warmth, characterized by softly blurred contours and a tangible sense of touch.

With this work, the band updates its previous stance of "anti-nostalgia," instead embracing the idea of elements blending and bleeding into one another. Nostalgia is no longer kept at a distance, but absorbed as a present-day texture and expressed in a more natural form.

Drawing from their respective band activities and support work, the members bring together a wide range of musical sensibilities, resulting in a sound that crosses genres and eras. SAMOEDO is currently working on a full-length album, and this track emerges as part of that ongoing process.
