Junkie Machine is a four-piece garage/alternative rock band from Tokyo.

Driven by raw twin-guitar riffs, the band blends the explosive energy of punk with the dynamic songwriting of alternative rock. Rooted in straightforward rock 'n' roll, their music is defined by powerful melodic hooks, dramatic shifts in intensity, and an unmistakable sense of urgency, earning them a growing reputation on Japan's live house circuit.

Frontman Hikaru Nakamura delivers emotionally charged vocals that move seamlessly between melodic singing and desperate screams, giving voice to youthful frustration, loneliness, and distorted forms of love. On stage, Junkie Machine elevates their songs with overwhelming speed, intensity, and explosive performances, establishing themselves as a band built for the live experience.

"Kimino Trauma ni Naritai (I Want to Become Your Trauma)" is the band's third release since joining EVOL RECORDS. Fueled by thunderous twin guitars and emotionally unfiltered vocals, the song explores the blurred line between love and obsession, reality and illusion. Rather than longing simply to be loved, it tells the story of wanting to become an unforgettable scar in someone else's life, expressing themes of pain, dependency, and emotional vulnerability through an explosive alternative rock sound.

The single also marks the final studio recording featuring bassist Ryūya, who will leave the band following their performance at Shimokitazawa SHELTER on August 27, 2026. As the last recording by the current lineup, the song stands as a defining statement of Junkie Machine at this pivotal moment in their career.
