harshrealm
harshrealm is a music unit based in Fukuoka, Japan. Blending elements of post-rock, industrial, electronica, and classical music, they explore a unique sonic landscape that captures the tension between stillness and madness, illusion and reality. In July 2019, they released the EP delirium in alice. The 6-track release pays homage to works such as J.S. Bach's Goldberg Variations and Dylan Thomas's poem And death shall have no dominion, intertwining heavy beats with tranquil melodies. Under a new lineup, the group is centered around FINN (vocals, synth, programming, mixing), joined by Hayato (guitar), eichi (bass), and Tatsuya Yagami (drums). Hayato also played a key role in the production, while FINN directed the overall sound. This meticulously crafted work delves deep into the question of what we should leave behind through the medium of music.
