Tokyo-based rock band Looprider will release its fourth album, "Ouroboros", on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 from Japanese independent record label Call And Response Records. The release follows the group's third record, "Umi", which was released in March 2017.
Recorded between January and April of 2019, "Ouroboros" spans ten tracks of heavy, melodic stoner rock, drawing inspiration from the likes of Kyuss, Boris and Electric Wizard. The 46-minute album highlights the group's newfound bass guitar-less, three-piece instrumentation of drums and dual, tuned-down guitars, powered by stacks of Orange and Hiwatt amplifiers.
"Ouroboros" was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Taka KUBO of Studio CHAOSK Inc., whose previous works include SAIGAN TERROR's "Anatomy of Saigan", Self Deconstruction's "WOUNDS", BUTCHER ABC's "North of Hell", and GUEVNNA's "Heart of Evil". Artwork for the album was created by Christopher Catterall, former in-house designer at Earache Records.
