When love ends, there's a part of you that just wants to burn everything down. You can't stay calm. You can't look ahead. All that's left is the desperate need to know everything about the one who's already gone.

"New Moon," a track from the upcoming album Lone Wolf, was born in the middle of such a night. It was written in the dead of night, where sleep is impossible and emotions grind against silence. Driven by the brittle, uneasy rhythms of IDM-reminiscent of Aphex Twin-the song doesn't try to mend what's broken. It simply exposes it.

"A love that's a little too heavy feels just right," the voice sings, with a tenderness that borders on collapse. And yet, that brokenness is what makes it real-what makes it beautiful. The orange glow of the setting sun doesn't promise a new beginning; it marks the beginning of a deeper, darker night.

By naming the invisible-by calling it New Moon-this track becomes a quiet, burning document of one soul standing alone in the wreckage of love, reaching out toward the end.
