UPPER CUTS is a party held every Wednesday at Takadanobaba 88block, the home base of Hoodish Recordings. The concept is a one-of-a-kind party where the band DJs only play Self Productions, with Craft Soundsystem, and homemade food. The band is planning to release the songs born from the party in EP format. RHYDA and ACHARU are on vocals to a Riddim inspired by MaL's Afro, AMAPIANO, and more are planned in the future, so keep going upper!!!

    [MaL] A Track Maker and DJ of the Japanese leading bass music crew PART2STYLE. MaL is the resident DJ of the largest bass music festival in Japan "OUTLOOK FESTIVAL JAPAN", and he has also performed at the "OUTLOOK FESTIVAL" held in Croatia for 9 consecutive years. He has DJ'd at numerous DJ parties and festivals around the world, and has been highly acclaimed by many domestic and international bass music fans and top notch artists and DJs. While extensively doing song writings and remixes for domestic and foreign artists, and for commercials, as a DJ, MaL has a wide range of play styles from large venues to chilling venues. Literally he is a heavyweight in both sound output and in his physique. MaL is also active as the member of the producers unit "ZEN RYDAZ" with J.A.K.A.M. and MACKA-CHIN, endorsed by many younger generations.

    RHYDA MC based in 東京。 人呼んで武蔵野のラブダイナマイト。 B-BOY文学でありながらPUNKとも形容されるそのスタイルは唯一無二。誰にも真似できない独自のHIPHOPを開拓し続けている。 2012年アルバム 『FREEWHEELIN' THE HIGHFIELD』をリリースし、活動を日本全国へと広げる。数々 のMCへの客演や、カセットEP 『UPSET!』、7inch『Kung-fu Jammin'』（2017）、2ndアルバム『THE GREAT FISHY SOUL』(2018)をリリース。 2020年からはZEN RYDAZやODODO AFROBEATの音源にも参加。 2021年、RHYDA&snuc名義でアルバム『FOODOO』をリリースし、新たなダンスミュージックを切り開いた。 また、同年に全方位型ストリートミュージックを掲げバンド"ammonite2000"を結成、vo.を務めている。 常識をぶちぎり縦横無尽に動き続ける、ライダの動きを見逃すな！

  • ACHARU

    ACHARU is a Japanese female artist who shows multiple talents as a singer, rapper, songwriter, and composer. In 2010, ACHARU released her first solo album "Nasty". In 2017, she launched her own music label "Natural HighSense Production" and released her second solo album "ART OF FLOW". The album "ART OF FLOW" caught the ears of many listeners with ACHARU's soulful, clear and beautiful, yet powerful singing voice and her dynamic singing talent. In 2019, ACHARU met "ZEN RYDAZ" (MACKA-CHIN, MaL, J.A.K.A.M.), one of the hottest groups that are attracting the highest attention in the Japanese dance/electronic music scene today, and she participated in their first album "ZEN TRAX" (2019) and also in their second album "ZEN TRAX 2" (2021). In May 2022, ACHARU's long-awaited new EP "VORTEX" will be produced by ZEN RYDAZ and released digitally worldwide for the first time in five years. ACHARU transcends the genre boundaries. Her music composition crosses various sounds from R&B/Soul to bass music to tribal, etc. and captivates people with her free, transformative, and one-of-a-kind musical style.
