  Artist Introduction shido is an artist distinguished by a richly expressive, husky voice with remarkable emotional depth. Beyond vocal performance, shido is a multi-disciplinary creator who takes charge of songwriting, composition, arrangement, production, and music video screenwriting. Having endured a battle with aphonia, shido weaves a quiet but resolute message into their work: the importance of discovering hope within anxiety and suffering. At the age of 14, they began music production and band activities, and around 15 started releasing original works online. During a stay in Boston that same year, shido collaborated with students from Berklee College of Music, composing the soundtrack for a short film. Drawn to the intersection of language and sound, shido is currently enrolled in a university Faculty of Literature. shido chooses to remain unseen, allowing the work itself to speak-placing expression, narrative, and emotion at the center of their artistic practice.
