自分の感情と向き合いながら書き進めたとゆうEPの中でも、先行シングルとなる”Down”からは特に強い気持ちを感じる。
「他人からの評価に左右され、期待をし失望をする。
そんな、感情から一歩前に進むには、自分の価値を大切にし、少し強気なくらい自分を愛してあげることが助けになるのでは」というLayaのメッセージが込められている。
“Don’t let me down (がっかりさせないでよね)”から始まるコーラスでは、何重にも重ねたボーカルから幾つもの感情が独自に表現され、少しずつ強くなっていく様子を感じ取れるだろう。
曲の解釈によっては、失恋アンセム（応援歌）とも言えるような背中を押してくれる曲となっている。
「R&Bは歌、HipHopはラップ」そんな概念に捉われないLayaの原点とも言える自由なスタイルが色濃く出ており、今後の彼女の同行に期待がかかる。
