This is a song that I wrote and performed around 1977. It borrows the title from a short story by Arthur C. Clarke, which I loved.

I was writing songs for the Nekketsu Piano Trio series, and when I was thinking about what to do next, this old melody suddenly came to me. I think the opening melody sounds cool even now, but the original development was kind of lame, or rather, it was a melody that got lost in the crowd.

I was curious about what kind of song we would make of it as we've gotten older, and I wanted to take on the challenge.

Then, the intense middle part came to me. It's a song with a mysterious rhythm, piano riffs, and a passionate guitar melody that makes you feel happy. If you like it even a little, I'd be happy if you added it to your playlist. Well, that's the only way this song will survive.
