Lily Shrimp, the singer-songwriter duo comprising Risa Taniuchi and Ayuna, are releasing two new tracks, "To You Who Don't Believe in the Afterlife" and "earth", digitally for two consecutive months!

Lily Shrimp, the two-piece guitar-and-vocals unit formed by Risa and Ayuna, are releasing their first new material in seven months-"To You Who Don't Believe in the Afterlife" and "earth"-digitally for two consecutive months via Miobell Records.

The new releases comprise two tracks: "earth" written and composed by Risa, and "To You Who Don't Believe in the Afterlife", written and composed by Ayuna. The former is a song expressing their relationship with nature, whilst the latter is a love song centred on romance. It captures the emotions of those days when, before you knew it, the ball stopped coming back.

The recording featured drummer Shin Akama, bassist Koichi Oyama (OYAMANGA, ex-NONA REEVES), singer-songwriter and guitarist Osamu Shimada (Swinging Popsicle, The Caraway), pianist Misa Goto (ex-SUGARCLIP), violinist Yuki Hoshina, and violist Keiko Tanaka (Chidori Quartet).

Formed in 2024, Lily Shrimp are characterised by their twin-vocal setup, with "Risa" and "Ayuna" both serving as guitarists and vocalists. They began their activities in earnest last year and released their debut EP, *The tree fairy e.p.*, in April. Not only did the release commemorative event sell out, but the cat-themed artwork created by the popular primary school paper-cut artist KEN also attracted a great deal of attention. In July, they contributed to the compilation album *BLUE TENTION LP #bt20250725*, which also featured Maki Nomiya (3rd-generation Pizzicato Five), Kenichi Kurosawa (L-R), Mei Simones, Gracie Abrams, Kuki Kōdan, advantage Lucy and Swinging Popsicle, and are gradually expanding the scope of their activities.
