This is the story of two years between a black cat and me. A movie of this story was produced in collaboration with Yuko Shirasawa (cover art) of Konoha-do, and is available on YouTube. One sunny day in August, a black kitten with an injured leg was standing in front of my apartment. She was a very timid kitten and looked at me warily. When I called out to it gently, it approached me, scared. That was the end of that day, but she has visited me every day since. She waits for hours at my doorstep for me to show up. Even on rainy days, snowy days, and typhoon days. The kittiy, whom I named Bubu, showed up every day for two years. I guess she just had to see me. Whenever I left the house, Bubu would follow me and try to follow me everywhere. When I crossed the street, she gave up halfway and sat in the setting sun, staring at me forlornly. That's when the melody came to me, and from it this colorful ballad was spun. I had to move out, and I was sad to say goodbye to Bubu. Bubu, how have you been doing since then?
