About yamatokono World traveling composer, soulful street performer, and burger loving storyteller. yamatokono began his music journey in 2009 on the streets of Australia. What started as a spontaneous busking session earning a handful of coins quickly turned into a calling. From Cairns to Melbourne, he spent two years singing his heart out, connecting with people, and making a living through music alone. He later performed as a licensed street artist at Vancouver Granville Island, and continued his travels through New Zealand and Taiwan. In 2014, he returned to Japan and settled in Okinawa his mother birthplace where he now creates music, performs live, and offers cultural tours based on local traditions. His performances blend heartfelt melodies with stories from the road, inviting audiences to travel with him through sound. Whether on a street corner, in a cozy bar, or at a festival stage, yamatokono brings warmth, energy, and a deep love for connection through music. And yes his also on a personal quest to discover the worlds best burgers. If your town has a good one, his probably already on his way.
