No Meteor Yet

The meteor shower still hasn't appeared.
And for some reason, I find myself wondering how they're doing.

but this time, it leans into the moment of waiting --
the quiet comfort in stillness, and the way someone naturally comes to mind while looking up at a sky that hasn't changed.

Words we exchange only a few times a year.
A kind of distance that doesn't need to be filled.
What might seem indifferent is actually shaped by all the time we've quietly shared.

The older we get, the more we carry.
But somehow, we understand each other without having to say it out loud.
That's why, while waiting for a meteor that hasn't come yet, I find myself thinking of them.

It's not always easy.
