Davis Bark is an alternative rock band that deconstructs the sophisticated pleasure principle inherent in Black music lineages, R&B, Soul, and Jazz through the lens of Hip hops street aggression and MPC sampling aesthetics, reconstructing them into the massive sonic landscapes of Shoegaze and Math Rock. Their sound pairs rigid MPC beats with gut shaking trap and drill influenced sub bass. Amidst the walls of noise, jazzy melodies, soulful vocals, and incisive rhyming intersect seamlessly. The lyrics, which vividly dissect the absurdities of a surveillance society and modern day vanities, harbor a dual nature of cold objectivity and boiling impatience.
