The duo SAKU-consisting of internationally active model and vocalist Kayako Higuchi, and guitarist Jun Wakabayashi, who has been involved in the production and live performances of numerous artists-will release their new digital single "stopover" their first release in approximately six months.

"stopover" is a pop song distinguished by its refreshing and romantic melody and lyrics. While rooted in pop sensibilities, the track transcends the boundaries of conventional J-pop, incorporating influences from a wide range of genres including Latin and hip-hop, resulting in an alternative sound that feels both modern and expansive.

The track's mixing and mastering were handled by Masato Fujishiro, known for his work with prominent artists such as Aimyon, Sakura Fujiwara, and Yuu Sakai. His refined approach brings together the song's diverse elements into a cohesive and beautifully balanced production.

On March 26, SAKU will also hold their first-ever two-man live show at Tsukimiru Kimi Omoufu in Aoyama, featuring Eminata as the supporting act and UQUIYO as the opening act.

With further releases planned toward 2026, SAKU continues to build momentum, making them an act well worth watching.
