"Blue" is a collection of sound sketches by Alexandria Saito, recorded in the small kitchen of his apartment in Tokyo.
Spanning nearly a year, the songs were quietly built up in the in-between spaces of daily life.

Each track was created just before he left Japan.
At the time, he wasn't fully aware of the subtle cloudiness gathering in his heart - but listening back later, in the quieter, clearer days after moving to Amsterdam, those feelings gently began to surface through the sound.

There had been a vague sense that something was slightly out of place.
It wasn't until life slowed down in a new city that he could begin to notice it.
That quiet unease seems to have soaked into the music itself.

The title "Blue" is inspired by Picasso's Blue Period -
a quiet blue that slowly seeps through the entire album,
carrying with it fragments of unspoken emotions and unnameable moments.

Artist Profile

  • Alexandria Saito

Alexandria Saito is a Tokyo raised music producer and DJ originally from Fukuoka, Japan. Drawn to music from an early age, he discovered the piano at three and began playing in bands while still in elementary school. By his late teens, he had started producing music on a computer, later diving deep into electronic and dance music, where he developed a sound that freely crosses genre boundaries. Based in Tokyo for many years, Saito performed, produced, and DJed across a wide spectrum of projects. The tracks he crafted over time in the kitchen of his small apartment eventually came together as the album Blue (2025), a collection of songs capturing a time in transition, quietly echoing emotions that were hard to name back then. He has also been involved in a number of collaborative projects: the experimental rock unit Kaos Order, the dub heavy, atmospheric project ANIMALWARFARE, and the live band Pantanal, where he performed as a guest dubwise artist. In all of these, Saito has consistently sought a form of expression where sound speaks for itself, without the limits of genre or language. With over 15 years of experience as a DJ, Saito's style blends techno and house with dub, reggae, and even Jpop, always keeping the energy high, the floor alive, and a sense of elegance intact. Now based in Amsterdam, he is entering a new phase of expression, including his DJ project under the name Mr. MIYAGI, and pushing his vision further into the world. For Saito, music has always been a second language, a way to express feelings too complex, too delicate, or too quiet to be said out loud. It was the one thing he held onto when nothing else made sense. And now, it continues to breathe, in sound.
