Ted launched his own business in Tokyo at the age of 42. During the first year, he actively participated in seminars, presentations, and networking events to absorb knowledge and build connections. In the second year, he began hosting his own cross-industry networking events to expand his business network, which led to an increase in software development orders. Just as the business appeared to be growing steadily, the IT bubble burst, and orders dried up. Left with no other choice, he explained the situation to his staff and suspended operations. He subsequently worked as a high school teacher and in management roles, but one day he suffered a severe heart condition that forced him to recuperate at home for over a decade. Eventually, he underwent heart surgery and returned to the workforce a year later as a high school instructor. Finally, he launched a new business: he established a music label and began composing, arranging, and distributing music.
