At the age of 24 (1999), I traveled to India with a friend.
Was it around May? It was hot season.
Backpacker trip for about 3 weeks.
I don't decide where to go, I go where I want to go when I want to go. My memory is vague, but I think I went from Delhi Airport to New Delhi, spent a few nights there, and then went to Varanasi.
A place of destiny that changed my outlook on life.
A world like Shusaku Endo's "Deep River" was spreading out.
And I got to experience it myself.
"Inochi no Uta" is a work that I drew while gazing vaguely at the Ganges River beyond the terrace of "Vishnu Rest House" where I stayed.
