A comeback single breaking ten years of silence from "Mushi Furuu Yoru Ni"
A song for those who gave up reaching for the light, yet still choose to face the pain of the wound.
"Mushi Furuu Yoru Ni" released the albums "Mushi no Ne" (Sound, 2012) and "Mushi no Koe" (Voice, 2013), before going silent in 2016. They left behind the unfinished final chapter of the trilogy, "Mushi no Uta" (Song). Ten years have passed since their final live performance, "pupation".
Each member moved forward in their own way. Work. Family. Different bands. Different forms of expression. Over those ten years, all four found their own versions of happiness and success. And yet, the memory of ending the band never truly left them. It lingered like an unhealed wound, a quiet regret that never faded.
"Hikari" (The Light) is the first new song from the four members in ten years. A song carrying the weight of that decade.
But this is not a song about reclaiming a lost dream.
Nor is it a declaration of a return to the stage.
Vocalist and lyricist Ari simply defines this song as: "A song for those who gave up reaching for the light."
They longed for the light, yet could never seize it. And if they have truly given up on reaching it, then at the very least, they should keep tracing the outline of something as they live on. Within that self-mockery and resignation, the song still sings: "I don't wish for the night to end. I want to leave our meaning in the darkness."
A song from those who gave up reaching for the light, and the reason they still choose to make sound. Ten years later, "Mushi Furuu Yoru Ni" lets a wounded note ring out once more.
"Hikari" (The Light) will be released digitally on June 4, 2026, Mushi no Hi (Day of the Insect). Following "Mushi no Ne" and "Mushi no Koe", the song serves as a faint starting line toward the unfinished final chapter of the trilogy: "Mushi no Uta" (The Song).
