自らを中毒性ハイパーロックバンドと称し、メンバーそれぞれが異なる音楽的背景を持ちながらも、その存在感と独自の音楽性で注目を集めているI’sHolicの1stアルバム。持ち前の音楽性とライブパフォーマンスは奔放さを増し、表現のスケールを拡大。本アルバムはタイトル通りI’sHolicの内なるエネルギー、言わば本質を捉えたものとなっている。音は決してポップ一辺倒ではなく、「24Bars」では自己紹介がてらと言わんばかりの轟音を慣らしているし「NEVER KNOWS BEST」などにはキャッチーな疾走感もある。全体を通してメッセージ性に富んだものが多いが、こうしたトーンも最後の「HYPER DOPE」で 自分が自分として生きそして自分として死んでいく というポジティブな心情で昇華される。新たなジャンルが更に幅を広げていく様子が表現された、遺作にして最高傑作。
