半世紀前のお年寄りは　よく　若い頃は食えなかったと言っていたそうだ

でも今は違う　どこの国でもそうなのかな

どこの世界でも　若い頃は食えなかったのかな

年金だけでは食えないと　今の老人たちは言っている

富裕層　公務員らを除いて　働かないと食えないと言っている

勤勉で　つつましく生きて来て　厚生年金も　税金も　社会保険料も

沢山払ってきても　年金だけでは　食べて　いけないなんて

一生死ぬまで働かないと生きていけない日本では

厚生年金の半分は会社が負担してくれていた

その半分を　この国は　何に使っているのかな

ふと疑問がわくが　考える時間も与えてもらえず

ただ　ただ　黙々と働かないと食べていけない　一生

それでも　戦争をしている国より　ましなのかな

Neither my husband nor I drink alcohol, smoke, eat out, or wear makeup; we have lived modestly. Of course, we have worked diligently without (days off) except for injuries or illnesses, acquiring many licenses and working tirelessly.
However, my husband, being over 72, still cannot live on his pension alone (as we live in a high-rise apartment in Tokyo's 23 wards) and continues to work. I, at 68, also contribute modestly by doing telework.
We used to live in a detached house, but it was broken into 17 times, requiring SECOM and the police to respond. Now, for safety, we live in a high-security high-rise apartment.
Even so, taxes are too high, over 45% of our income, and on top of that, our pension has been reduced and is too little.
Care insurance premiums and other deductions are increasingly taken from our pension, and with such political instability, I am worried about how long I can physically continue to work.
At the very least, I want to secure our rent, but if a war were to break out, it would be the end of everything. So, I created this song thinking, "Perhaps it's better than a country at war."
