Novelist

Sho Nakayama

Album commentary

I made this album in my early twenties.
I have always valued the keyword "nostalgia" in making music.
Somewhere out of touch with reality, it's like being in a dream.
Still, I feel nostalgic and my heart warms.
I always aim for such works.
This album is a work of originality and ingenuity to give shape to it. There is that intention at the bottom of all the songs.

In the two songs "Novelist" and "We saw Halley's Comet from the window of the slow train"
We asked the Irish violinist Yujo to produce the sound.
The sound with a Celtic music motif carefully expresses the "nostalgia" of the song.
An old man living in a mountain hut, a young man looking at another world from the train window
I would be happy if you could see the protagonist living in the world of such music in the sound.

"Hanabishi no Koi", "Let's go see the Aurora", and "Sylvia Cafe"
Arranged by Mr. Akio Harada who is active as a painter.
All three songs have a strong narrative and are like a picture book.
the picture in the song
It is wonderfully sublimated into music.

"Cooking" "Cinema" "I'm writing a poem for you" "September Riverbed" "Kami no Hikari"
I made a home recording with a friend of mine, Tomohiro Horihata, who is a composer and arranger.
Packed full of impulsive ideas at the time.
Get on the train and sample the sound, use pots and cutting boards instead of drums
enjoying the sound

Please listen to our proud album.
