Son of a tch

Shu Akimoto
The 1st EP, Difference/Current Location, by jazz musician Shu Akimoto was a work in which he sought his own "ECM" approach to jazz.
This second EP serves as a spin-off that was simultaneously released with the previous work. In pursuit of experimental sounds, it contrasts the "tone" of the previous EP through techniques such as reverse playback and added noise. Continuing the series, the closing track, GPS feat. Taniou a.k.a. Yoshio Ootani, ermhoi, with Yo Irie, Hiroaki Mizutani (from Tipographica), features singer-songwriter Yo Irie, whom Akimoto admires, and bassist Hiroaki Mizutani. The work takes the artistic world further into chaos, clarifying its conceptual vision.
