Moving between German and English, the lyrics draw inspiration from the tarot card The Hermit, portraying the inner world of a 21-year-old girl determined to walk forward without fearing the darkness. The recurring lines Tried to become a friend of the dark and Tried to become a friend of the light simultaneously reflect psychological instability and a desperate longing for salvation. The blurred boundary between truth and illusion, the voices that never stop inside her head, the solitude that never fades. Even so, she continues to raise her lantern and sing: Bring light into darkness. A piece that feels as though it is barely breathing beneath layers of noise, balancing urgency and fragile beauty at once.

A Tokyo-based German/Japanese duo formed in May 2026. Formed in May 2026 by vocalist Lu Ru (Germany) and composer Ido Kyo (Japan) who is also known as the bassist of GIRLFRIENDZ. They began recording within a week of meeting and released their debut single I hate u in the same month. Rooted in 2000s emo and alternative rock, their sound pushes distortion to the extreme breaking and reconstructing guitars and synthesizers to create a unique sonic identity. Emotional raw vocals intersect with noisy yet delicate production with the theme of breaking the rules in our mind and existing values.
