前作「You make my feeling foggy」に引き続き、全編英歌詞の今作も作詞・作編曲全てシトナユイによるものだ。得意な打ち込みに加えられたギターによって、エレクトロニック・ロックに昇華させた作品となっている。「LOVE AS HELL」のLOVEは自分が執着している何かに対する事で、周囲によく思われなくても誰も傷付かなければ、自分の信念を突き通すべきだという内容である。サビの歌詞は表題である「LOVE AS HELL」の繰り返しのみで、シトナユイ自身が演奏するギターの空気感で感情の盛り上がりを表現した。

幼少期にバレエを習い始め、バイオリン、ストリートダンスなど様々なジャンルの音楽を経験し、現在に至る。留学経験やダンスの影響から洋楽のような雰囲気の楽曲を制作する事を得意としている。 また、現在は自身の楽曲を発表する事とともに劇伴奏の作曲にも興味を持ち、勉強中である。
