The lyrics are about the worries of a naive boy. No matter how trivial they may seem, these feelings can be serious worries for the individual. How do you feel about "feelings that never fade" and "days that never change" as you carry those feelings with you into adulthood?
This is what I expressed in the song.
The instrumentation on this piece also has a 1960s feel to it.
