Post-alternative extended progressive technojazz, Part I: reflections Front Cover

If what you expect is not what you get

All there’s left to do is to kill the author

And yourself the killer

’Tis but a glorified suicide

The story that was once untitled

Has now been voluntarily distitled

By all the love

From the only true lovers

“You think we’re done?”

Bellends living on kitsches craving for more

Eagerly crafting repetitions with their tiny lore

Bollocks believing in their own fantasies

Can’t stop condemning anyone else as heresy

Bastards denying what they just don’t seem fit

Feeding on the carcasses of the dead poets

But for the utter crap that is us

We distitle ourselves and give no fuck

'Post-alternative extended progressive technojazz, Part I: reflection' is the... not the first album by Northwich committee of magic researches. Not their first vocal synthesiser album either. The band is very bad at keeping track of its releases, so it's ONE of NCMR's albums. The album is quite self-explanatory in its name, with the songs getting influenced by Post-rock, Progressive rock, Alternative rock, Techno dance and all sorts of Jazz music. The 'extended' part refers to the unbearable lengths of the songs, especially in the contemporary context where songs are deemed too long when they exceed 2 minutes 46 seconds. This part I of the whole album is mostly about self-reflections, concerning life, universe and everything. A part II is in the making but the process might take another 10 lightyears (I know that's a length unit). Not like a lot of people care about the whole concept of 'albums' these days, innit.
