The first single of 2025 from SLOWBASE, a male-female duo who continue their journey with an acid folk sound at their core.

At the end of last year, they held their first career self-organized event in Tokyo, "Yonder" (2024.11.21 Aoyama Tsuki Miru Kimi Omofu). They captivated the audience with their performance, which was presented as a set of 8 members + VJ.

The single released this time from the album they are currently working on is a cover of "Shounen" by Maki Asakawa, who they admire and have been in their repertoire since the beginning of their activities.

The song has been played since their first live performance. The recording members include Kaiki Ohara (Bass) and Shoichi Uematsu (Par), who are familiar for their live support in recent years, as well as Yusuke Kurita (piano) from Glider and Hedigan's. The recording was done at STUDIO DIG in Honjo City, Saitama Prefecture. The tension and rawness conveyed by the performance was recorded in one take to capture the spirit and essence of Maki Asakawa's work.

    slowbase ( japan) Solo project by Shohei Fujimori. It's folky, alternative, and full of good music. Active with a musical style that incorporates elements of jam band. In November of last year, we held a three-man event called "Yonder" (November 21, 2024) at Aoyama Tsuki Miru Kimi Omou, captivating the audience with an eight-member lineup plus a VJ setup. The band features a diverse lineup that transcends genre boundaries, including Kaiki Ohara (Bass), Shoichi Uematsu (Par), Ren Hirayama (Gt), Kosei Terunuma (Dr), and Yusuke Kurita (Piano). Their live performances are always filled with intensity, expanding their presence within the scene.
