Hold hands
When we get star night
Come lie down close to me
And you're dreaming
And I'll kiss (Your) cheek
And we will smile
Now we're satisfied
Hold hands
When chilly air stroke us
Talk about the future together
And you're dreaming
And I'll kiss (Your) cheek
And we will smile
No need to talk
I wish I could
I wish I could do it
I wish I could
I could do it
I wish it
Dreaming as starry sky
Put my hands in my pockets
And I realize
I can't reach it
(You) drive me crazy
Nothing... but memories
Hold hands
When we get star night
Come lie down close to me
And I realize
I can't reach it
And I realize
(You) drive me crazy
Let it all go

sphere
The lead single "the starry night" is from brand new album "A Fusion Of Two Hemispheres" will be released on November 2, 2022 for the first time in 11 years. In a fantastic atmosphere woven by Makoto Gomi's uplifting fuzz guitar sound which resonates in many layers and the nostalgic piano melody in contrasts to the lively rhythm, Shoko Inoue continues to tell a fleeting dream story with her whisper voice. It is just as if running through memories, and countless imaginary landscapes are awakened in mind one after another, and they draw colorful curves while changing like twinkling stars. While carrying a vaguely disquieting atmosphere that hints at an unfulfilled future. This song with a sense of speed is selected from main album which is based on a shoegaze, alternative, progressive approach while each song interweave various expressions. While following the thick but delicate and fluid sound image of the previous works, that invites you to a new world view where innocent whiteness and pain like loss coexist, which creates an expectation of "new sphere".
Artist Profile
sphere
Formed in 2007 by guitarist Makoto Gomi, the group took a break after releasing its third album in 2011, but resumed its activities in 2022 with the release of its fourth album after 11 years, featuring Shoko Inoue as a new vocalist. Based on a shoegaze sound filled with guitars that combine delicacy and exuberance, the progressive rhythmic approach and nostalgic piano melodies that evoke Scandinavian electronica are intertwined with a meticulously calculated sound image, and the innocent breathy voice of Shoko is layered to create a lyrical soundscape.
