"Because my Idol" is the first full-length album by creative solo idol usabeni.

The record brings together singles released between 2022 and 2024 written by Emiri Kanou and Hana Tsuruuchi, along with the buzzworthy new track [CITY GIRL VELOCITY] produced by Q-Rabbit, which incorporates future funk, and the electro-dance track [Bye Sweet] produced by Hyoe Yasuhara, released in advance in August 2025. The album also features brand-new, previously unreleased songs for a total of 13 tracks.

Opening the album is [Not your Idol], a song that blends the alternative edge of K-pop with a distinctly Japanese pop melody, layered with usabeni's own lyrics that embody the hidden theme behind the album title.

Centered on electropop while exploring techno, alternative R&B, and drum & bass, the album shifts between idol pop and chill atmospheres, offering a wide range of moods and sonic textures.

Balancing the identity of being an "idol" with the challenge of being a solo artist, this album stands as a defining work in usabeni's career.

Artist Profile

    Since 2022, usabeni has been developing a solo project rooted in full creative self-direction. She independently handles every aspect of her work, including graphics, video, and choreography, and has established a style where she controls the entire process of expression. Her sound is based on beat-driven, synth-oriented pop, with lyrics that honestly reflect her personal emotions. By blending a non-conventional idol identity with a deeply individual musical approach, she continues to shape a unique style with global potential. In addition to her artistic activities, she runs the shop NARUHESON;S in Kobe, where she produces original apparel and zines. She also collaborates actively with local businesses. Her passion for Thai culture has led to live performances in Bangkok and the release of local Vlog content, expanding her reach across Asia.
