Haysashi Hinobori We all carry pain. Rather than soothing it or turning away, he looks it dead in the eye. It is this raw, unfiltered emotion that forms the very core of his music. Having experienced bullying and heartbreak during his school years, his songs are driven by a sharp antithesis toward a bitter modern society and a fierce resistance to growing up. Because he deeply understands the ache of longing for empathy from others, his songwriting is fueled by a desperate, yet hopeful realization: "I am not the only one who feels this way. I want to save those who carry the same pain." In stark contrast to his complex, delicate lyrics, his melodies are remarkably simple and direct. His pursuit of unforgettable popness, paired with straightforward arrangements, has become a unique weapon which was born precisely out of his self-taught, unpretentious style.
