An album re-edited from the nearly seven-hour-long sound installation EARDEN (2025), originally installed at the MEGIHOUSE art space on Megi-jima Island, floating in the Seto Inland Sea. Through the enveloping sounds of Setouchi's waves and wind, the ambient sounds of Megi-jima, and the distant resonance of stars echoing from afar, a primordial sonic landscape is evoked. The title EARDEN is a coined word combining "ear," "garden," and "eden."

Mayuko Matsumoto
Mayuko Matsumoto is a composer born in Nagano Prefecture and currently based in Tokyo. The core of her compositional activities is an exploration of ambiguous images and acoustic spaces created by the relationship among sounds. Her major works include [Kagura Paraphrase](2022,2024), [Behind the Eyelids] (2023), and orchestral work [the stars in flux] (2024).
