The album explores those subtle differences and emotional shifts against the backdrop of Tokyo.
Inspired by R&B from the 1990s and 2000s, the record combines nostalgic influences with a fresh, contemporary sound. Through a diverse collection of songs, it captures city nights, romance, loneliness, restlessness, and the quiet emotions of everyday life. Familiar yet new, *TOKYO COPY YOU* is a portrait of women navigating life in modern Tokyo.
Artist Profile
Nanchatte Records
A truck maker who grew up in a cult and separated from the rest of the world, he abandoned his family and girlfriend at the age of 16 to run away from home, and was shocked by Pola X he saw at a movie theater he happened to walk into. He started his music career after developing his own unique worldview that this world is full of fake things. He has been gaining attention in the music scene by reconstructing the essence of Japanese pop, R&B, and hip-hop from the 90s to the 00s in a modern style.
