When I had grown used to city life after leaving my hometown, memories of the places where I played as a child would suddenly come flooding back. Stirred by these feelings, I took advantage of a long weekend to return to my hometown after a long absence. Passing the harbor in a rental car, winding through a mountain road, and coming down a gentle slope, the nostalgic townscape unfolded before me. And there it was-the hill of horse chestnut trees, just as it had been since I was young.
This song was inspired by imagining that very moment.

Artist Profile

    Born in Tokyo in 1967. At age 15, inspired by New Music, acquired an acoustic guitar and a synthesizer, teaching themselves to sing while playing. In their early 20s, began taking vocal lessons and joined various civic choirs, primarily as a tenor. In their 50s, started taking electric guitar lessons from a professional musician. Currently performing live in Tokyo.
