Kowloon City, a huge walled slum that actually existed in Hong Kong.

"Rhizome" contains the message that the world cannot be explained by one aspect of things.
Rhizome is a modern concept that expresses how disparate things that are not related to each other are connected not in a hierarchical hierarchical relationship but in a cross-sectional horizontal relationship. In the world, various phenomena cannot be explained well only by causal relationships like a tree, and we should think of it as a rhizome, that is, an underground rhizome, where it is difficult to know which is the trunk and which is the branch.
