Lyric

The weekend starts now

Turn the radio loud

Sun on my shoulders

We’re getting out

I’ve been waiting all week for a little light

Counting down the hours till the city feels right

Got my keys, got my smile, got nowhere to be

Just a blue-sky feeling running wild in me

My phone can wait, my worries can too

I only need the road and a beautiful view

Every little street looks brand new somehow

The weekend starts now

Roll the windows down

Let the warm air in

I can feel my heart

Start dancing again

The weekend starts now

We’re chasing the sun

No map, no plan

Just a song and a run

The weekend starts now

Feel it all around

Life gets brighter

When the wheels roll out

Coffee in the cup holder, hair in the breeze

Laughing at the red lights, feeling so free

Every turn is a chance, every mile is a spark

We can paint the whole day with a golden heart

Maybe happiness is simple

Maybe it’s this sound

A little bit of freedom

When the world slows down

The weekend starts now

We’re chasing the sun

No map, no plan

Just a song and a run

The weekend starts now

Feel it all around

Life gets brighter

When the wheels roll out

The weekend starts now

Turn the radio loud

Sun on my shoulders

We’re getting out
