"Kimi no Orphée" is a solo project of Ari (formerly of "Mushi Furuu Yoru ni"), who works under the theme "I'll be your bard." She expresses the stories that unfold in her own life and the lives of her friends (and fans) through poetry, music, illustrations, and videos.
From Japan to Taiwan, Mexico, Thailand, and beyond, her music -featuring standout tracks like "Chiller, Chiller" (2024) and "Ghostly Escape" (2025)- has resonated across borders. On June 4, 2025, she celebrates her 9th anniversary with the release of her new single, "FAKE=REAL"
"Inspired by heartfelt messages from her fans, this track embodies the concept of being 'your bard'- a voice that speaks on your behalf. The lyrics explore the profound bond between two people tied together by past wounds. One clings to the pain of losing a partner, remaining in an ambiguous present; the other, while understanding that pain, chooses to release it and move forward toward a shared future. "FAKE=REAL" is told from the latter's perspective, expressing the belief that both the "FAKE"- born of mutual fear- and the "REAL"- uncovered through the courage to move on- hold equal meaning and worth.
The song, a reggaeton ballad, features English lyrics that reflect a global sensibility, with rhythms that blend melancholy and strength. The sound, produced by TET$V (known for his work on Hirate Yurina's "IniminiMainimo"), stirs emotions while maintaining an infectious, danceable energy. UK-based co-writer Beth Morrison contributes her signature sensitivity, adding emotional depth and richness to the track.
Creative direction for Kimi no Orphée is once again helmed by Hikawa Hikaru, with illustrations by Saito Yusuke and logo design by Īī. Together, the three artists have crafted a visual world that brings the essence of the song to life through its jacket artwork.
The two background colors symbolize "FAKE" and "REAL", while the color used for the characters represents one of the three primary colors of light (RGB). Their combination signifies the blending of differences into white- light itself. This concept is echoed in the deliberate placement of the "FAKE=REAL" logo.
The music video, centered around Saito Yusuke's evocative illustrations, gently follows the quiet, shared days of the two main characters. Through layered, sketch-like strokes, it captures the subtle emotional journey between them.
FAKE=REAL-
