Born in 2004 in Ibaraki, Japan, Tiroru is a singer-songwriter and sound designer. With a thematic focus on"exploring music as time that is continuously experienced," Tiroru creates works that draw on ambient, electronica, and jazz influences, while wrapping introspective, quasi-autobiographical lyrics and melodic vocals in the surface form of pop songs. In live performances, Tiroru adopts multiple formats based on distinct concepts: the solo set, which juxtaposes experimental electronic elements with vocals; the band set, a tight three-piece configuration that delivers the compositions with clarity and precision; and the ensemble format, which incorporates instruments such as piano and saxophone to fluidly traverse free jazz, ambient, and pop with both lightness and depth. Tiroru began uploading original works to SoundCloud in 2021, and released the first EP, Sea of Whistles, in February 2024 through the emerging internet label KAOMOZI. In September of the same year, Tiroru co-organized the event "Senkai vol.1" with Yuki Watanuki. In 2025, Tiroru composed music for the trailer/opening of the Festival of Animation Berlin, produced by Lina Machida, as well as for Machida's animated work Street Speech Room, marking the beginning of activities as a sound designer. In July of the same year, Tiroru released the single "seabed".
