Tiroru
Born in 2004 in Ibaraki, Japan, Tiroru is a singer-songwriter whose work weaves together ambient and electronica textures with the sensibilities of jazz, wrapped in the skin of pop through diaristic lyrics and melodic vocals. On stage, Tiroru performs in various forms: Tiroru (solo set), where experimental electronics coexist with voice; Tiroru (band set), a tight three-piece formation that brings the songs into sharp focus; and Tiroru (ensemble), an expanded configuration with piano and saxophone that fluidly and powerfully traverses free jazz, ambient, and pop according to each theme. In February 2024, they released the EP Sea of Whistles. In 2025, Tiroru composed the music for the trailer and opening sequence of the Festival of Animation Berlin, and released the single seabed.
