Farewell for Today

warp jam is an instrumental band formed in 2022 by Junichi Wakimaru (composition/piano), Masahito (electric bass), and Shin Akama (drums), who have released chamber music, piano solos, and electric works while also collaborating with traditional instrumentalists both in Japan and abroad. The music produced by this trio is very diverse, ranging from melodic and pop to incorporating contemporary music approaches. This "Farewell for Today" is their first album, and contains a variety of genre-less songs that are typical of warp jam. The album contains a total of 10 songs, including "heaven's bridge (M1)," which stands out for its impressive melody and grand sound towards the end, "Starry Night," which features the contrast between the synth pad and the trio's performance, "Intermezzo II," which is a piano solo song arranged for the trio, "Daydream," which features the bass, and the cutting-edge sounds of "What's the matter? (M4)" and "Transformation (M8)."
