This song is a staple of the live set and, unusually for me, a rock number.

Fighting alone is always a lonely thing, but surely someone is watching that seriousness. Yes -your perseverance becomes a guiding light, a searchlight, for someone else. With those feelings in mind, I wrote this song to encourage and spur on my former self.

For this release, bassist Katsuhisa Mikami (ex-FAZ) joined us to add newly recorded bass parts. This allowed us to create a richer rock sound than in the previous version.


I hope this song can become a searchlight for someone.

Artist Profile

  • Katsuya Takeda

    Born in Toshima, Tokyo. Graduate of Tokyo Metropolitan Oizumi High School. Second-generation owner of the delicatessen Yakitori King and singer-songwriter. While running Yakitori King with his parents in Higashi-Nagasaki, Tokyo, he also performs solo with guitar at live venues around the city and volunteers at senior facilities. In recent years, he has organized music events in his hometown of Higashi-Nagasaki. On the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month, he teaches voice training classes for seniors at a culture school in Kanamecho. His hobbies include reading, watching films, and following professional baseball (a fan of the Yokohama DeNA BayStars). He is also a member of the Genron Tomo no Kai.
