Turbidity Of Mind (Binaural Recording)

A synthesizer system with 24-channel speakers was recorded binaurally on October 3, 2024. Please enjoy the three-dimensional sound using headphones. The synthesizer system consists of a computer, universal serial bus (USB) device, line selector, buffer, filter, and mixer. The speaker arrangement is almost the same as when the track "Hate Suppression" from the album "Random Noise Stimulation" was recorded on September 9, 2024. However, the height of the rear speakers from the floor was changed from 15.5 cm to 29.5 cm. A dummy head microphone was placed at the center of gravity of the rectangle formed by the speakers for recording. The filter used a multiple synthesizer, digital delay, state-variable filter, and biquad circuit. The multiple synthesizer consisted mainly of a Wien bridge oscillator, multiplier, biquad circuit, and voltage-control circuit. The synthesizer was formed by connecting it to a computer synthesizer. The computer synthesizer was formed by connecting a computer and a USB device via a USB interface. The first Wien bridge oscillator, which can modulate the input signal of multiple synthesizer, was replaced with a whitening filter. The output signals of the whitening filter and second Wien bridge oscillator were calculated using a multiplier. Amplitude modulation by the random signal output of the whitening filter and the sine wave output from the second Wien bridge oscillator created a hard timbre. The eight front speakers played the output signal of the multiple synthesizer, the eight left and right speakers played the output signal of the digital delay and biquad circuit, and the eight rear speakers played the output signal of the state-variable filter. Each of the eight speakers used a mixer to move the sound source, thereby creating a three-dimensional acoustic effect in the original sound field. Fostex P800Ks were used for the front, left, and right speaker units, and P1000Ks were used for the rear speaker units. By using the P1000K speaker unit, the noise generated by the speaker was reduced and the sound quality was improved.
