Quiet Gurgling of Fermentation is an ambient piece inspired by the living "gurgling" sounds that quietly resonate inside a fermentation tank at a brewery on Omishima, an island in the Seto Inland Sea. It portrays the invisible flow of time created by yeast through moisture-laden drones and a low, breathing sense of movement. In the latter half, environmental sounds recorded at the close of a local Omishima festival are layered in, dissolving the microscopic activity of fermentation into the island's prayers and the memory of the season.
