The synthesizer system, using 24-channel speakers, was recorded binaurally on September 24, 2024. Please enjoy the 3D sound with headphones. The synthesizer system consists of a computer, universal serial bus (USB) device, line selector, buffer, filter, and mixer. The speaker arrangement is almost the same as that for the track "Hate Suppression" from the album "Random Noise Stimulation", which was recorded on September 9, 2024. However, the height of the rear speakers from the floor was changed from 15.5 cm to 22.5 cm. While recording, a dummy head microphone was placed at the rectangular center of gravity formed by the speakers. The filter uses a multiple synthesizer, digital delay, and state-variable and whitening filters. A multiple synthesizer mainly consists of a Wien bridge oscillator, multiplier, biquad circuit, and voltage-control circuit. The synthesizer is developed by connecting a computer synthesizer, which is formed by connecting a computer and a USB device via a USB interface. Conventional multiple synthesizers modulate the input pulse-width modulation (PWM) signal using a Wien bridge oscillator, but this oscillator is replaced by a whitening filter. The random signal output by the whitening filter can produce different timbre compared to the Wien bridge oscillator. The eight front speakers play the output signal of the multiple synthesizer, the eight left and right speakers play the output signal of the digital delay and whitening filter, and the eight rear speakers play the output signal of the state-variable filter. Each of the eight speakers uses a mixer to perform sound source movement, adding a unique acoustic effect to the output signal of the filter. At this time, all speaker units were replaced with Fostex P800K. The noise generated by the speakers was reduced and the sound quality was improved.
Ichiro Tsuji was born in 1966. He started working on noise/industrial music for his band named "Dissecting Table" in Tokyo in 1986. He returned to his hometown of Hiroshima in 1998, and has been pursuing musical activities ever since. His records and compact disks have been released under the independent label of the UPD organization, and under labels in Europe and the United States. In the first and middle stage of his career he controlled the synthesizer and sampler by the sequencer, but since 2012, the works have been produced by controlling PWM signals output from a USB device on a computer. Lately the work is being made by developing an original synthesizer system.
